On Monday and Friday mornings, Brad takes advantage of some our local facilities, completing hydrotherapy and gym classes at our YMCA Recreation Centre and Classic Health Gym, respectively.
Hydrotherapy (treatment/exercise in the water) is a proven way to help relieve pain, stress, tension and tight muscles. It can be used to help mobilise joints, reduce swelling, begin strength work and improve balance. It is often very beneficial after surgery (once your wounds have healed).
Exercise in the gym allows you to take advantage of the vast array of equipment on hand. Performing exercises prescribed and supervised by your Physio can help regain strength after injury, reduce muscle imbalance and improve your overall fitness, health and wellbeing.
If your Physio believes one of these options is right for you, they will suggest it to you. You may also request one or both of the above options and your Physio will adapt it to your requirements.
